WHOSE HANDS IS YOUR LIFE IN?
I have always walked around in blissful
trust - knowing that my life is in God's hands. With
that firm assurance in my heart, I have rested completely
and confidently through every season of life.
I have sincerely loved the feeling of security that
this theology wrapped around my life ... until I read
a Scripture that challenged my inner most being! (Don't
you just love it when God Himself challenges your
theology! The nerve of that Man!)
"My life is continually in MY hands ..."
declares the Psalmist in Psalm 119:109. Did you know
... do you understand that your life is in your hands?!
That is right - even after you have accepted Jesus
into your heart, you have still been given the gift
of free choice. You can choose whether to tithe or
not ... you can choose whether to forgive or not ...
you can choose depression or joy because your life
is in your hands!
The consequences of these choices have long-term effects
on the actual state of your life. If you choose to
tithe, you will always be blessed with the provision
and abundance of God! If you choose to forgive those
who have wronged you, you will be endowed with the
peace that passes understanding. If you choose to
worship rather than to complain - then depression
will never come knocking at the door of your heart.
God has provided a lifetime of hope and blessing for
you ... the question is this ... will you choose to
do life His way or your way? The choice is up to you
because your life is in your hands! |
